Re: Iodine Therapy effectively kills Candida

Thanks Grizz. Water is so integral and while the subject is up, might as well share my thoughts on that.
SO, as I already said, I started avoiding fluoride toward the end of my college years. Easiest way to do that was just buy distilled water. I drank this 'straight' for years and years.

The issue is we have to be careful about universalizing our experiences. Everybody has different genes and enzymes that are transcribed at different rates. The body will FIND a way to maintain homeostasis, because it has to; the issue is: is it a good idea to force your body to make that accomodation over years and years? It's too complicated to go into the issues I eventually found distilled water was causing me. But I eventually tracked certain things down it...and making changes clearly improved them.

So, now my approach is purified water + 1/8 tsp. sodium chloride, 1/4 tsp. sodium bicarbonate, and just a few grains of MgSO4. Yes, you heard that right kids, SODIUM. Life evolved in the freakin oceans, for cryin out loud. Human evolution specifically occurred along the Indian Ocean. Meat and vegetables ALWAYS contain potassium; because carnivores eat herbivores which eat plants which must have potassium to grow. There's no need to add it your water. I get salt from my food you say? Actually, when I drank distilled straight I had craving for salty snacks. Many of which are also high in carbs. Now that my water has enough sodium, I no longer have these cravings! There's no homeostasis-seeking behavior! Maybe if you were exclusively a piscivore or something, a case could be made for adding 50/50 K/Na to your water. But I'm convinced for most physiologies, water _ought_ to have a certain tonicity, and a certain sodium osmolarity, and the mix I describe is the best way to do that. Remember our blood is 0.9% sodium chloride, roughly.

BTW, my blood pressure was creeping up through my 30s; when I made this change, it went back down to <= 115/70. The first time you switch to having sodium in your water, it could temporarily spike. Again, that's the homeostasis at work. It's just your body getting used to the change.
