The best results I have had dealing with reactive hypoglycaemia is by taking Metformin (yes usually for diabetes but seems to help keep levels balanced) and adopting a mostly raw vegan diet.
Not the easiest diet to follow in winter I find but if I stick to it I can eat fruit in abundance - even including bananas, mango and pineapple and can even have the odd raw vegan deserts that are agave sweetened or a side of potato wedges with my otherwise raw vegan meal, things that are out of the question for me on an all cooked food diet.
