Re: Hypoglycemia?
I too have had trouble with hypoglycaemia.....you can read my past posts for more details (click on my name beside the post). In terms of tests I would get the endo to run, the general blood sugar, insulin, c peptide etc, the thyroid and adrenal panel, and a hormone panel (estrogen, progesterone etc (make sure you do it at the right time of the month ie about a week before your period....so if you are only 3 weeks out you may have to wait for this one).
My hypoglycaemia seems to be improving (i am almost 1 year post removal).....now however my blood sugars sometimes go up to just over 10mmol (about 180 if you are in the US) after eating......I am afraid I dont have any answers but I have found I felt worse when the sugars were on their way up after a low (probably due to adrenaline release) which maybe why they are difficult to record at times on the meter. My endo was not concerned at all about the blood sugars unless they are regularly in the 2.5mmol (I think about 40mg) as they came up on their own.
Can you please repost if your Dr has any answers. I am really hoping I am not heading towards diabeties but I was told no way to type 2......but there was no mention of type 1.
good luck. Its early days I am sure like the rest of us you will see many improvements over time.
