Yes, it is especially strange that Dr. Clark would die of Multiple myelome which in itself is rare.
Not so strange however when you consider that benzene is a major cause and that Dr. Clark worked with benzene in her studies.
Also, one of the major symptoms is neck and shoulder pain that is similar to what comes with some whiplash injuries in auto accidents, which she also had about the same time.
It should be noted that despite the exposure to chemicals that she withstood and the exposure to numerous people with illness, she lived past the average age that most do.
Like many others before her, Dr. Clark did not portray herself as a model to follow but did provide the principle guidelines for living a long and healthy life.
I think that it is a sad thing that people use her death as an excuse not to follow her good advice.
