The problem with this solution is that it only works if you convince the perpetrator that you will use the weapon or you actually use it. With doubts it doesn't work and I know I would feel bad about killing somebody if it wasn't really necessary and when I am convinced it might be too late . Many perpetrators recognize these doubts..
