Re: Is untreated mold in the house/MCS a reason to hold off on starting DMSA?

I certainly understand about the foggy brain while chelating--I've been there! : )

The general suggestion in the big yahoo groups is to end the round when we miss a dose by more than an hour (probably 1.5 hrs is okay with DMPS)

During my recent round I must have accidentally skipped a dose. The alarm rang as I was rushing out of the house for an appointment. I bet I reset the alarm but forgot to take the dose. I took the next dose but shortly after, gut a very very unusual and nasty headache accompanied by sick stomach.

I've been there before and realized that it was most likely a nasty situation of redistribution of Hg to my brain. I immediately loaded up with antioxidants--Vit E, C and Se. The symptoms went away for an hour or so then returned. I again took more Vit C and a little E. Again the headache improved.

It is a reminder that kicking up Hg with chelators is powerful. We need to respect that and be careful and methodical.

Thankfully from reports in the group, such mistakes on rare occasions don't seem to keep a person from getting major gains over many months. I bet it sets the recovery back a few weeks.
