Re: Can worms cause heart palpitations?
Hello Everyone,
I am so excited to find you all! I recently discovered I have parasites...lots. ICK! I am so grossed out.
This all started with weakness in my legs a couple of years ago that eventually resulted in me having to stop biking and hiking. I could hardly walk for more than 10 minutes without feeling my legs would collapse! All of my symptoms after that indicated a thyroid issue and, indeed, after lots of muscle testing by a chiropractor and then a blood test, it was found I had an overactive thyroid.
To make a long story short (maybe!), I started taking some medication for overactive thyroid. I hated to do it, as I am very much into natural/herbal treatments. After my thyroid was found to be within normal range after taking the medication for 3 months, but my symptoms continued to get worse (heart palpitations, continued weakness, extreme fatigue, anxiety, depression, moodiness, and lots of gas and bloating, even though I eat fairly healthy and take lots of high quality vitamins/supplements), I decided to really take control of my own health.
I thought at first the root cause of my thyroid issue was severe adrenal exhaustion and started taking more high quality supplements to heal my adrenals and following the protocol for diet/lifestyle changes specific to adrenal exhaustion.
As my constipation/gas/bloating continued to get worse, I did more research and realized I might have a
parasite infection (oh, I also had a urinary tract infection and vaginal yeast infection in the last 6 months).
I ate 4 cloves of raw garlic every day for a week. After two days, little eggs (I believe hookworm eggs) were EVERYWHERE in my stools. After several days they began to disappear, and I started to see other critters - I believe most likely liver flukes and other weird shapes, colors, and textures. UGH!
I took some Zimecterin two days ago - a horse dewormer (my boyfriend has been a horse person most his life) and I also started using organic psyllium husk to help scrub my colon. I have also been drinking dandelion and ginger tea for several weeks. I think the dandelion root tea encouraged the liver flukes to come out, as it is known to detox the liver.
I am now going to the bathroom a lot - probably one reason is because of taking the psyllium husk. My stools are FILLED with worms. I have never been so grossed out in my life. But I am so glad they are coming out!
I have been having lots of heart palpitations and headaches - probably from all the detoxing my body is doing - and because of the hookworms. They say it's hookworms that cause the palpitations if you have them. I have also been feeling more weak (can hardly walk) and fatigued than I normally do.
I also wanted to tell "idschick" that I met Dr. Larry Wilson in person a year ago in Prescott, AZ at his home! Long story, but I read a lot of info on his website before and after meeting him and I really want to do the
coffee enemas and do the hair analysis. Anyway, it was a very interesting day that I spent with him. It was just my girlfriend and I at his home and I got to know him a bit.
Bottom line...I do NOT trust doctors...especially conventional ones! And I really believe in doing LOTS and LOTS of research and reading and trail-and-error to help get to the root of one's health issues.
I don't believe anyone would have diagnosed me with worms! It took my own persistence; hours of research and reading; and lots of trial-and-error to get to the root of my problem. And I am still learning new things everyday.
For example, I thought my heart palpitations and anxiety were still due to my (possible) hormonal issues. But I'm not so sure anymore. I believe these
parasites may be the cause of most of my health issues/symptoms!
Yesterday and today I chopped up 4 cloves of garlic each day, and mixed with chopped green olives, some lemon juice, and a tablespoon of olive oil. I ate the concoction as a dip for my pepper jack flavor gluten-free almond crackers.
I keep reading that you need to take it easy when killing off these bugs, so maybe I need to cool it a couple days and give my body a chance to get rid of the die-off before I get aggressive again.
Thanks for letting me tell my story...I'm so happy to connect with all of you!
Veronica
