Re: Help with hair mineral analysis interpretation
I'm glad that you are reading Dr. Wilson's site. The more you immerse yourself there, the more you will begin to grasp this approach. Unfortunately, I still can't open your test results. But I can still offer some suggestions.
First, you speak of
Sugar making you "feel more energized." Nutritional balancing is not about making us feel better but about healing us. With this approach you will feel worse before feeling better. I did a lot of things trying to feel better for years, and, yes,
Sugar was something I craved and ate. It certainly can raise the blood
Sugar temporarily but there is no healing involved. My macros have stayed on the high side, too. But as a slow oxidizer, I've never been advised to eat sugar.
The reason you feel worse eating protein is likely because it is helping you detox. That doesn't mean you should not be eating protein. What is your zinc number?
Most of us have very congested livers, and
coffee enemas are really important in detoxing. Saunas are also important, but I personally have found the greatest help for my liver to be the enemas.
NB is an amazing method of healing, and I have no doubt that OCD can be healed via it. It's not a quick cure, though, and I doubt if anything is. There are likely other things that need to be healed as well. I started out thinking that high copper was my main health problem, and it certainly caused a lot of symptoms. Along the way, though, other toxic metals have come out. I now realize that my body has lots of work to do still, and I will "stay the course" until I'm where I need to be.
Lastly, do you have a practitioner you are working with? I would not go it alone, and, no offense to Ray Peat, but I wouldn't follow his advice.
