Live bugs can live inside us. One night while reading a book, there was tingling way up in my sinus cavity. Then I could feel moving all the way down to the end of my nose, and a very small beetle bug fell out onto the pages of my book! That was a long time ago before I started photo-journaling everything... Doc said use a neti pot... I mostly use xylitol nasal spray.

I think the bugs/ parasites are being absorbed or broken down by a trapping fungus, then exiting best it can, through the skin. ??? Then the fungus can also reproduce in the environment as well, on clothes, fabrics, or any place it can sense prey... ?

A substance called "nemin", put off by various prey, alerts the fungus to go from standby into trapping mode.
