Re: First Dose Lugols 5

Thats another fallacy. Ascorbic acid is chemically IDENTICAL to the active ingredient in vitamin C.

Man has identified the chemical makeup of various forms of vitamins and minerals and found ways to produce the same product en mass in a lab by isolating the active ingredient. In the case of ascorbic acid there are quite a few people who have spent their life working with high dose ascorbic acid in the treatment of cancer and heart disease and combined have treated over 100,000 people. The detractors that claim ascorbic acid is not vit C dont have a resume that is anywhere near that of the proponents so who are you going to believe?

Another way to look at this is ask yourself, what do the kidneys do?

Now ask yourself what is one of the many things ascorbate does? Its a powerful anti toxin and can flush toxins from the body much like Iodine does. So ask yourself this, if you start taking large doses of vit C and flushing out more toxins isnt that going to stress the kidneys?

As I said above so much of the stigma is based on poor conclusions. Many studies show no rise oxalic acid when adding vit C yet others do. So instead of finding out WHY oxalic acid increases they simply brand vit C as dangerous.

Once again the vit C is essential to life at its base level and at high doses becomes a very powerful electron donor to the immune system and helps detoxify your body. Detoxing too fast can have side effects regardless of the cause of the detox.
