Re: Lactoferrin Study & About Me
EDTA will only absorb calcium/magnesium/iron etc that it comes into contact with. Therefore if you take the minerals at a different time to the EDTA you will be okay. Very little EDTA is absorbed, I read only 5%, so it shouldn't have too much effect on your system, only in the digestive system. However source naturals do recommend taking a break from it. I first purchased 240 caps of 500mg Source Naturals EDTA and only used one capsule. I then purchased some EDTA powder which I have been using instead of the source naturals caps. The source naturals caps contain dibasic calcium phosphate and manesium stearate. The jar recommends 2 caps per day for 5 days and then 9 days off. It says repeat the 2 week cycle up to 3 times then discontinue for 30 days. I would like to read a more definitive guide on chelation rather than taking recommendations on a supplement jar as the gospel truth.
The biggest problem I have found is finding supplements without magnesium stearate because most use it.
Have you found serrapeptase which does not contain mag stearate? I know of some lumbrokinase, Boluoke Lumbrokinase, which doesn't contain it but serrapeptase and nattokinase I have not found any so far. When they don't use magnesium stearate, it does seem to push the price up quite a lot.
