Re: Mirena side effects

Dear Pocket Lady,

Sorry for my late reply, I haven't been checking in lately.Thank you so much for taking the time to post your story. It sounds horrendous to have something like this because of an infection. I hope you get well soon and see an improvement in your symptoms.
I do not have the itching and discharge issues you describe and my bout of itchy bumps was short lived, it hasn't returned after the initial 3 weeks of skin bumps over 2 years ago. I do have a friend though who has the same symptoms we both have and she has been thoroughly tested for Lyme (initial tests were negative) She now found out that she has the Borellia variant. When it comes to eating etcetera; I only experience problems when I am in a sensitive "period" I haven't had a real bout of this since the mirena was removed with the exception of 2,5 weeks after removal when I started to bleed lightly. The prickling head and heart palpitation occured immediately. As soon as the bleeding stopped all my symptoms were gone too. So I am anxiously awaiting the return of my cycle and real period to see if there is a connection.
Wish you all the best!
