That's great news. Like you said sometimes tonsillectomy doesn't remove all of the tonsil tissue which allows the bad breath and tonsil stones to return over and over again. When not all the tonsil tissue is removed it is known as partial tonsillectomy. It's always best to go with a complete tonsillectomy so you won't have to worry about tonsil stones or the bad breath coming back. It's a shame you have to go through so much with your ENT before they finally understand what's going on. I found out some other interesting things about tonsillectomy here.
