Wow! It feels good to hear that someone has escaped from this monster called bad breath. Please what symptoms were you having along with the bad breath?
I started suffering from bad breath roughly 3 years ago as an adult. I have tried everything within my reach to get rid of it but nothing works. I brush my teeth up to 2-3 times a day with Baking Soda and use Hydrogen Peroxide as mouthwash but the bad breath is still there. I have been to the dentists for check ups and was told that my teeth and mouth are fine and healthy. My GP told me that there is nothing he could do to help me after prescribing Omeprazole tablets which I took for months and they were not effective. I am frustrated and do not know what next to do.
I am a college student and my bad breath is an open secret in my class, everybody avoids sitting around me. I have considered dropping out of the college but I do not want to because of my desire to acquire higher education. I always chew sugarless gum in order to mask the problem but it does not help.
In fact, bad breath has destroyed my life. Words can not describe the embarrassment this disorder has caused me. I do not have friends and do not go out any more. Every night I go to sleep with so much pain in my heart and wake up every morning with fear of how to make it though the day. I do not know the wrong I have done to deserve this. I do not even smoke or drink alcohol and coffee.
I believe that tonsillectomy might eliminate the bad breath because the only symptom am having along with it is occasional breathing difficulty. Besides, the smell also comes from my nose because people do notice it when am just near them and no talking.
I would like to remove my tonsil and would be glad if you could advise me on how to successfully present my case to a GP.
Please help!
