Over the last couple of days a lost memory from when I was in TCM college emerged.
This particular class centered on Kidney herbs and why all Kidney formulas contain salt.
We had a very good and animated teacher. He made it clear that no one should dispense Sea Salt without properly roasting it.
**The proper way to roast it is to make a wood fire out doors during good wind so the toxic fumes are carried away.
A proper Salt skillet has a 4 foot handle so one can stay clear of the fumes that in the past have turned Salt roasters crazy..**
Today I wonder how much the wood fire, same as used in Finish Saunas, and its negative ion creation has to do with the entire process.
The moral of the story may just be; unless your salt manages to match all these criteria it may be better to use PURE Salt instead..
