Re: Thinking about doing it

Hi ToNoAvail,

I don't know if this is Dr. Wayne Dyer's quote or whether he was quoting someone else when he said it, but he said, "When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change". When you see your life as you just described, you will find supportive evidence everywhere. For example, my daughter wanted to dye her hair blue. I said no to the dye, but I said she could put a blue piece in. She did. She was very self-conscious about it. Everywhere we went that first day, people were staring, whispering to each other, etc. One little girl, she was so cute though, said "Grandma, I just saw a girl with blue hair", just as she passed us. No judgment, just noticed. So I told her when we got home, I can take it out if you want, but you should always be yourself and live life on your terms. If someone doesn't like your hair, that is their problem; do you. She decided to keep it. The very next day, we went to a store and a salesclerk told her she was a boss with her blue hair. She hasn't look back sense. Now, we go out all the time. Her hair is always blue and we get very few stares and virtually no comments.

What if you changed the way you saw your life? What if the guy your mom knows is the most wonderful person you will ever meet? What if he is your soul mate? What if your mom doesn't want to push someone on you rather she just wants to introduce you to someone that would make you a good husband and will let you make your own decision? What if you had already decided that you will make your own decision as to who you will marry? What if you find the answer for this Body Odor issue and you meet someone at school whom your mom would love for you to marry? How would your life be different?

Forever the optimist, I always think that if I kill myself today, tomorrow will be the day that my Body Odor disappears on its own. Tomorrow will be the day I win the lottery (I don't even play, but I still think it). Tomorrow will be the day I will meet my soul mate. Tomorrow I will be dead when all these great things are about to happen. So I make sure I always stick around. I never know when my luck is going to turn.

I hope that it was just a bad day. We all have them. I hope you reconsidered and are feeling better today.

I wish you all the best. Take care of yourself,

Win
