Re: Dr. Cahill's Office....WOW

I've got to agree with this. I ended up going to Cahill twice and ultimately he didn't help me and I'm working on other ways of diagnosing and treating.

Dr. Cahill diagnosed with me hookworm and I don't think that makes sense because from what I've read online hookworms can be killed with one dose of albendazole and if that's the case I should've been cured easily so I'm not even sure about Cahill's Diagnosis. Also besides for that like you said he barely speaks much and doesn't say a lot about the diagnosis.

He also gave me a one day treatment for biltricide which seems to be the smallest amount to take for flukes which I suggested to him I may have. To get more I would've needed another appointment with him, to add to that at my second visit with him he apparently found nothing which may be due to flukes being hard to detect, but it was a little weird that his office called me and made it sound like Cahill cured me because he didn't find anything at that visit.

I also have to agree with how he talks about himself and not much about your symptoms or much else. He did tell me a bit about how tropical clinics were closed down for city budgets but that doesn't help that much for treating the person visiting him. That is a funny comparison to Stephen King too, I got that kind of vibe from the place and he also defended his price to me saying it's cheap compared to most doctors with insurance added in but he doesn't take insurance and doesn't spend much time with his patients.

Also he doesn't even test for parasite antibodies and he is a parasite specialist. Wouldn't a specialist in something like that want to cover all bases. Doesn't make much sense really. I have some respect that he works in a specialty like that but it seems like that money could be spent on a test like from biohealth labs or metametrix which at least seems to cover more bases. I'm sure Cahill has saved some people but it seems like his office could be doing more.
