I'm still not sure I believe in the rope parasite as a worm, but that aside for a moment, it could be some kind of fungi or something. Though, it was very rubbery and strong, and I don't know if fungi are like that?
I think you're right that it would have been more plump, whatever it was, prior to being partially digested and squeezed on the way down.
I had blood tests for fungi like candida which were normal (low). I have a leaky gut so it's likely that if i had candida in my gut it would have been picked up. BUt of course these tests are quite specific so if it was some other variety I don't imagine that the test would ahve picked it up, so it is not conclusive to rule it out.
I feel frustrated. I keep coming back to the question: If it isn't a worm, then what is it? Nothing seems to fit that well.
