Yes it does look like Ascaris I agree, though most roundworms are white according to the official picks I can see on the net. This was very brown, so it leaves me a little unsure.

I live in UK so we don't really do mild winters unfortunately!

Has anyone else had lab testing done on their samples? I'll definately post here when the result comes in.

I wonder if these worms shed their skin as snakes do...anyone know? I ask because it looked very much like that, hard to see in the photo I know, but I poked at it a bit and it seemed almost like an outside layer without what you'd expect internally. The other possibility is that it was part digested and so got chewed up by my digestive system.

I read that the UK prefer prescribing Mebendazole (so it must be cheaper as that is all the NHS cares about) but will be interesting to see what the do prescribe me if its possitive. How good are the drugs at clearing the infection?

I've just eaten a clove of garlic as I understand that it is good for killing the adults. I realize I will probably need to up the dose but I thought it best to start slow and see how I get on.

I am proper freaked out by all this btw. I am pretty sick already so I don't really have much in the way of reserves to deal with this. I feel like im in that film Alien.
