Re: Warning about intermittent fasting for weight loss
It's OK to argue. This is the debate section.
Freelee's focus is on long-term healthy results, not quick fixes, especially in the area of weightloss. She developed eating disorders from struggling most of her life trying to be thin. She later found the key to healthy weightloss was to stop starving herself, avoid too much fat in her diet, and eating an abundance of carb calories along with proper hydration and sleep.
She does promote veganism, but I'm not sure if going full vegan is necessary or optimum, nutritionally speaking. I do agree and promote going in the direction of plant-based for better health, but how far you go might be more of an ethical choice.
After learning about the importance of getting enough calories, all the people I knew who did any type of fasting solely did it for weightloss purposes, even at the expense of their overall health.
I agree with her that IF is just another quick fix weightloss scheme.
