Re: Trying to understand labs and fatigue

I just wanted to say thanks again for all your thoughts and support these past several days. Tomorrow morning I go back to my OB, who is the only receptive doctor I've ever had, and I feel heartened that I am armed both with my latest results and with a list of things I would like for her to order tests for so that I'm not paying for them all completely out of pocket. (Unfortunately she doesn't take insurance, but at least if she will order the tests, my insurance will pay for part of them. I think even with her very high rates for service, it will make up for it in the long run.)

I tell you, this whole process has been so long and overwhelming. I have been fighting for years now, feeling various degrees of awful since 2006. I feel blessed to have at least found a forum where others understand. Outside of this forum, I am surrounded by people who have the "but you don't look sick" mentality and who keep telling me just to exercise mind over matter and convince myself that my body is fine, and trying to explain that I feel like I am walking through neck-high mud and barbed wire all day and struggling with every ounce of oomph that I have in me just to stay awake and upright seems inevitably to be pointless. I am at the point that if there are no next steps, I guess I will try the lupus treatment, but my gut tells me that's not what is wrong. Here's hoping tomorrow is a turning point.

Thank you again!
