yes, I have been through much of the same journey, finding a magnesium supplement I could tolerate, absorb, utilize.. took me years.
the
Iodine and cofactors are a good basic, as they complement each other. A few others may be necessary, but the basic list is a good start.
My advice when supplements are not tolerated, or your body give a signal about it doesnt like it. (low energy, pain, discomfort of different kind) -or nausea.
switch type, form, dosage; or add a co-factor to it. Or if it is a
Iodine detox reaction, add the helpers like salt, vit C, and other suggestions from forum members.
Vitamin B is a co-enzyme I would have in my regimen. Very important for digestion. Me too are sensitive to big dosages of it, but I need some.
Tried be-pollen and other "natural" forms, but they did not work with me. The liquid one from Now food (B12 + the other B`s) are the best tolerated vit b supplement for me so far)
Maybe mushrooms could make a difference; I have bumped into informations about it lately, from different sources; and it always was a sign that I was to explore it. Havent tried it myself yet, though, but will. Contain some selenium as well.
