Re: Autism and maternal iodine levels/thyroid health *edited
Do you consider 50 mg in pregnancy high doses? Perhaps I am amongst the rare, but 50mg to me is not high - It is maintenance. I am not fearful this will create a false positive on some test that big pharma administers my future children (that is, if I allow a doctor to do so). I go by symptoms anyways, my low T4 (nor TSH) doesn't concern my docs because it is "low normal". It is my chronic history of symptoms that concern me, and why I have chosen to address these problems. I assume full responsibility of my extremely educated choices.
I've read warthog's testimony, my stance doesn't change. Perhaps my enthusiasm for how
Iodine has improved my life is influencing my judgement, but it's still sound in my opinion. (**edited to add the significant lifestyle and diet changes I've made extend beyond
Iodine protocol and all of this together is fertility and healthy pregnancy oriented).
It is highly unlikely I will ever drop below 50 mg, pregnant or not. I do appreciate your input though, and hope this post doesn't come across as snippy.
