Ultrasound for liver flukes

Do you think a full abdominal ultrasound could pick up flukes if they were in your liver?

This wasn't my idea at first but I had an appointment with a neurologist recently that was knowledgable on parasites and said he treated someone for a parasite in their head before coming to the area here and he ordered me an abdominal ultrasound to see if anything comes up. He was even telling me on mris worms can look like little tissue, but the abdominal ultrasound seems interesting, maybe it could see if there was damage to the liver from parasites or even drugs from them.
