Re: Cdiff

Yep, I agree w/u to the degree I advocate against the Antibiotics . =) Very few situations call for it and so despite my immune deficiency status, I do go years without a need but when something knocks me over my soldiers are out to lunch so to speak. I tell my grandkids they are lazy soldiers sometimes and they said SEND THEM TO BOOT CAMP! lol

I've never had an issue with candida overgrowth that i couldn't get under control but for when I met my husband and he kept transferring yeast infection to me. Finally got that situation taken care of! lol. I know so many have suffered at the hands of this awful overgrowth so i understand abx would be a "gah" moment for you or many who have suffered this.

Kefir has done an incredible job repopulating my gut in times where my immunity gets taxed, however, my gut population in IGg is above avg for my condition. They say 80% is in our gut, but my gut has always been fairly strong. I swear it's the dang monkey virus jumping generations and the many tick infections triggered the virus, oh what a mess..I've tracked this condition for years trying to unravel the root cause. I'm much closer. Tick infections that triggered the genetic weakness that does not appear to be a family issue unless one looks at the monkey virus and how it jumps generations. My grandfather had soft tissue cancer and he would have been in the group to receive the live polio vaccine that was piggybacked on the monkey kidney that sent the viruses out in the wild. This is my take on it after so many years of trying to put this puzzle together, and a whole lot more that fits in this picture but for the sake of not writing a book, which i've managed!

Also to know one's body and choice of foods. I've always been a big proponent of eating local foods, there are always exception to this rule but overall, what is grown locally, what works well in sub zero winters won't work in high heat summer and yet it is exactly how a lot of people eat, i don't. When tomatoes and peppers are in high season, have at em, strawberries in season, eat to heart's content..outside of that zone, not so effective in the fall/winter unless cooked.
Common sense stuff I grew up on. We ate when things were plentiful in season, never boxed foods, always home cooked meals season appropriate and local.

don't believe in "diets" I believe in eating what is appropo for one's climate/geographical location and season. It is like sleep, the natural krebs cycle. I'm not going to sleep to keep with China's clock. lol. But here I am up so late tonight! But you understand.

Thanks Gina on the boron reminder. I have plenty of borax. =)
