For the love of all that is holy, here I am again back with another dilemma!
was treated for babesiosis and was on quite a run of Antibiotics . Quinine, cefdinir, and at one point was on levaquin for a few weeks.
I am sooo careful, I drink fresh kefir I make at home, eat yogurt, take mega probiotics etc. And I got no c diff, not even a drop o' rhea at all until...

As fate would have it the "girl" climbed through the window and she hung around for almost two weeks. My son, he is out of the hoosgow and his ex shows up here with Cdiff! I had no clue but I wasn't happy with the fact she was flouncing around my house like she lived here. Making herself right at home in her drug induced state. She was cooking in my kitchen, running around looking for a plunger for the bathroom down by his bedroom and then she was also using my water cooler and to top it off, well let's not go there, I wasn't going to get too detailed, was I?

She took a shite in the powder room and the smell was atrocious! I had gone in there to clean it and for the crying in the night! I about vomited. I waited a while then proceeded to clean it, but I had gloves on! I didn't use bleach but in the toilet bowl...what was I thinking? Not that it matters she was all over my house so who knows how I came in contact with it but I suspect it was from my water cooler as I use it to Neti.

Finally I get her out of my house and my son comes down with the RHEA for a week. Thought he had a bug, in the interim I start hitting herby but I was on a cayenne cleanse so didn't think much of it other than I'm cleansing. Week two I got sicker and sicker and sicker, at this point not on cayenne cleanse, can't hold anything down, fevering and throwing up too. I finally go to Urgent care, send me home with stool kit and sure as SHITE there I am with a full blown CDiff infection.

Back to the Culligan water cooler, source of infection, am sure of it or i breathed in the spores when i cleaned the bathroom, anyhow, initially I had this white patch that looked marbly in my nostril and I thought I had candida in there, but I didn't have any other signs or thrush for that matter, that was the last I remember before getting deathly ill. The point being, I wash my hands incessantly cuz I'm OCD and not medicated..maybe I should be.

I'm OCD to begin with, and now this. I was put on Flagyll on Wednesday. Things have simmered down some but I can't eat anything without feeling so toxic I want someone to open me up and suck it out! I am eating lots of yogurt and fresh kefir, up to 900 billion probiotic and add to that double dose of S. Bouldarii. I've got it all covered, the oregano, tumeric, olive leaf extract and Iodine.

Which brings me to the point. Can Iodine kill the c diff spore? It seems it goes into spore form in the gut when the Antibiotic goes after it.

I don't know what to do with this house. I'm bleaching and sanitizing everything but it isn't enough because I refuse to go near my son's bed/bath for fear I'll end in ICU. So I hired his baby's mom to clean the bathroom for me but the bedroom is ridden with spores, I'm sure of it because that ex girlfriend lived in there for days on end! He said he doesn't have any RHEA anymore but he doesn't look so good, but he drinks a lot so who knows, all I know is he needs to call this girl and tell her get in and get tested. Oh and she also told me when she was here that she was in ER for severe stomach pain/cramps..she said she was screaming and crying from the pain.

Has anyone had this nasty foul infection and did you find IO effective? I'm real nervous with this because I have primary immune deficiency so my immune system isn't that hot.

One thing that came out good from this is the upper left quadrant of my body has been in a world of hurt since I got bit in the head from a tick, the pain is clearing, the numbness going away and the chronic shingles calmed down immensely. I got hit all all three major nerves, sort of like a bells palsy with numbness, tingling and pain. We had a suspicion this was from lyme and not babesiosis, but we had to treat the babs first. I'm taking mega lyme killing herbs but it goes into cyst form and flagyl kills the cyst form. Bingo, but man, I just want to be over all of this. I am to be on the flagyll for 7 days but CDC recommends 10-14 for c diff. I don't want to be on this a long period but the fact it's helping me means I should finish the course.

Moral of the story, don't get bit in the head by a tick, and never let your 29 yr old son have "girls" climbing in the winders!

PS. I had to edit this text because in all reality... I shouldn't call her a hoochie, it's my son that is the hooch! He has about a dozen of em, and some I never meet. I keep advising him against this due to the amount of std's and it falls on deaf ears! However, rules still stand, no more girls through here.
