Right now, everything you've said sounds like you are happy with family and husband, but you have mixed or confused feelings at times. Maybe your feelings at present have little if anything to do with what you've experienced in the past. I never had any understanding of what post-partem Depression was until a year ago when a woman briefly explained to me that the psychological effect is like losing someone close to you, so let me tell you a story that might lead to a possible solution. My brother died in his mid 20's. The last 10 years of his life, I hardly knew him because he had moved 3,000 miles away and we didn't keep in touch, and before he moved away, he was always strung out on drugs, so, for the most part, I didn't really know him at all. One day, I woke up expecting to go to lunch with him at a restaurant. I started getting my clothes on and making plans to get everything out of the way so I could be on time, but I couldn't remember the name or address of the restaurant. I tried to remember when I possibly could have made the plans and when I last saw him, and then I remembered that the last time I saw him was years ago when I went with him to his friends funeral. But then I remembered that...it was not his friend's funeral, it was HIS. For eight years, I always thought that I had dealt properly with my brother's death and that it didn't effect my life. That morning was a reminder to me that I never cried at his funeral and GOT IT OUT OF MY SYSTEM. Maybe it would help you to REALLY address what has happened and CRY IT OUT of your system, AND let your husband HELP and support you.
