It looks like there is mucus and inflammation. The reason I suspected E. Histolytica, is from travel info. provided, symptoms, and the tell-tale mucoid deposits shown in photo.
This
parasite is difficult to identify, but the evidence of it's existence is: increased neutrophils and or eosinophils in mucous,and red blood cells present.
Identification of amoebae is difficult, because they can resemble human cells.
There could be other possibilities such as C. Difficile (a non lethal strain, or increased population), other bacterial agents, or a virus.
All these factors require comprehensive analysis of stool, reporting on numerous biochemiical indicators.
Terms like "Chrohns" or "IBS" are too general and can sometimes mislead treatment options.
Best to continue consultations with your medical practitioner, and suggest a wider testing spectrum to rule out infection.
