It is your choice to wear a bhurka (not sure of spelling here); that is fine,
as no one is compelling you to. My personal preference is to have the sunlight
hitting my skin. I also do not see the need to wear a thong--bhurkas and
thongs are two extremes on a spectrum. The fact that no bhurkas are to be
found in my closet does not mean that there are thongs in my dresser drawer.
Besides, at age 56, I'd look pretty funny in one! :-)
Sunlight on the skin is health-promoting and people need that for Vitamin D
production and absorption.
Yes, I too believe that women are precious and that we have the right to
dress as we choose to, not according to an unofficial government's dictates.
I do not believe that God/Goddess/All That Is gets involved with prescribing
the sort of dress that anyone, male or female, wears, but it is your choice
to have that belief. A woman who is made to wear a bhurka or face arrest
or worse, is more like chattel (or cattle) than one who is free to wear
whatever she likes. It's all about freedom! what a concept...
