Re: Have you had a Near Death Experience?

The Cold War was over. We had no money for training. We would drive around base, in jeeps, picking up cigarette butts... Driving by the front of the base was a sign, 'For God & Country. I had the thought, "Yes, that is why I am here."

Fast forward a few months; We have a very important meeting where we have to sign a paper saying we will not speak about the meeting for 20 years... I did sign the paper but what was I signing. "You get a clue... when an officer says, "We need a new mission." And our new mission haunts me to this day... These Think Tank men are telling us how it is going to go. I just listened but then Hey! The Russians were no longer going to be our enemy. Their country was a shambles. We had defeated them by outspending them into their ultimate collapse. But then I had this thought, "Hey! Maybe you should say something?" When the Intelligence Officer is saying, "We have to do a lesser evil to prevent a greater evil."

We were being briefed during the initial planning for what was projected to be 300 years of wars... We were to protect the interests of Israel & Corporations controlled by the United Stated... Doing so, we would need to pit Muslim nation against Muslim nation... until every Muslim nation on earth lost their will to fight. We would also control the media and pulpit... We would never have another Vietnam... Then, I had once again, what some would call a voice in my head or cognitive dissonance. I thought, "Well, that would make us evil." I didn't say anything but felt like I should... But who was I to say anything to all these Generals and Officers... Men from Think Tanks. They we much more intelligent than me. I was just a young specialist who looked at images from space... But it was just a momentary touch of conscious...

I was excited about the planning meeting we were going to have, preparing for a potential invasion of Iran... but I never made it there... I died en-route, on Double S Road.

I figured out that the wars we are fighting in today are not fro "God & Country."
God is Love and Love doesn't bomb children with depleted uranium shells with a half life of a million years. God loves the very same people I thought God hated... I have not owned a television in over 11 years and I am very wary of preacher or priests who say, "Support the Troops," after they just said "Love thy Neighbor" or "Turn the other Cheek." Tweet
