Yes, but mono is short term while EBV is long term.

I just read this about Natural Killer Cells. "NK cells are mainly antiviral and anti-tumor, but not anti-microbial or anti-bacterial. Part of the innate immune system that only activates when it gets the signal that there's an infection.

High levels of NK cells might mean they're chronically engaged, and that your adaptive immune system isn't finishing the job." This may explain why I have high NK cells, but lower number of lymphocytes. Or I should have more lymphocytes to fight off fungus infection. The NK cells were working on my viruses, not bacteria or fungus infections.
