It was the doctor's orders to start with half dosage the first 3 days. I assume it is so your body can adjust to the medication.

At the grocery store, there were several bottles labeled "Hot Sauce." So, plain hot sauce is it.

By the way, I did not want to use Diflucan because I read that flareups can come back. It is not as strong as Sporanox. It does not mean flareups will always come back, though. I guess the other poster took Diflucan for 1 month with Oxistat cream 1% and saw results in 3 months. It will not hurt to use the cream with the oral drug.
