Re: Is this a liver fluke egg?

Well, you can contact parasitic.com. It's in the u.s. I just spoke with them regarding my test results again. They test the IgG antibody test. I don't understand how the IgG Elisa test works. This lab is testing for antibodies for the parasites. The antibodies have to be elevated showing that your immune system is fighting the parasite. I need to learn more about how the immune system works. This isn't 100% conclusive. I am still confused on whether an Elisa test using an IgE antibody could be used. I don't know. But, it looks like the test relies on a high antibody count to show there is an active infection. The fact that there would be any antibodies there seems plausible to me that there is an infection. But, I don't know what antigen they are testing and how common it is. The lab also mentioned that possibly you had an infection in the past but it doesn't show there is an active infection. I was supposed to confer with my doctor about the results that I had. I simply never did after it was negative. So, still confused about what this test means and how to interpret it.
