I have a root canal I'd like to get rid of too...

when I asked my dentist about taking it out, he said it's a problem because then you have a space there, and the body wants to close it up, so the other teeth will start to cave inwards. I'd have to get some type of bridge or something (can't remember exactly now) to fill the space.

My question is then, is a bridge or whatever they do to correct the hole left from the pulled tooth, is this better than a root canaled tooth? I guess it would be...lesser of two evils?

Thanks,
Megan
