The cavitation surgery removes the tooth socket and any bad bone below. This never happens in nature. Nature would have the jaw bone re-absorb the tooth socket slowly and this does result in some swelling/pains right after the tooth is pulled.

IF I had to do it all over again, I would skip the expensive cavitation surgery.
