The cal/mag ratio is high - calcium is typically controlled by the parathyroid/thyroid - which probably means you are a slow metabolizer. TEI typically recommends chelates stating that they help rebuild stores whereas other forms have more of a 'pharmalogical' effect. This was the case with using IM mag injections which use mag sulfate. Gives a temporary effect but does not build stores. Again some of this has to do with your particular body chemistry, some people do better on other forms.

I think Dr. Watts of TEI is brilliant* but I don't necessarily agree with the abstaining from Vit D. He reasoning for this is that Vit D aids in calcium absorption but Vit D has more benefits than Calcium absorption - neurological, immune etc.

*Dr. Watts was able to pinpoint the cause of my magnesium issue and adrenal dysfunction using the report.
