Yes, I see much truth in what you said :) Learning to love and accept oneself will extend that to others,naturally. For me,I find that God is the only source of Love that has helped me do that because it's unconditional.. And having said that, it is a journey. As they say.. Rome wasn't built in a day..

Later Edit: My comments were related more or less to forgiveness.. I didn't want you think that I was saying we shouldn't speak up, set good boundaries, and confront when needed.. Sometimes we can decide not to reconcile if the abuser doesn't see what they are doing, but we can always still forgive.. It's detrimental to our well-being, just like you said. But I'm sure you knew i meant that, it's just that it wasn't so clear.. Ok... (:
