Re: Update on progress
Thanks, Onwards! I agree it was dramatic, and I didn't take nearly the recommended amount of supplements.
About diet... I am not the best role model here for following the diet that I was recommended to follow. I'm with an ARL practioner, and the Wilson diet is a lot of cooked vegetables. I try to add them in as much as I can, but I don't eat nearly enough. I have always felt good with carbs, so at each meal I eat carbs, protein (red meat, chicken etc), healthy fats and I try to eat some veggies. I use a lot of butter and bacon fat to fry foods in. Even though I'm a slow oxidizer, I started to feel amazing (less brain fog, more energy) when I added butter and bacon fat. I make most of my meals from scratch on my own. I don't limit anything, and occasionally have something with
Sugar in it, gluten or dairy, and I'm fine. It gives me a lot of joy to not limit foods too much, as I actually went for 3 plus years with severe
food intolerance and could only eat 5 safe foods in that entire time. The joy I have now in not limiting my foods and over scrutinizing is somehow adding a lot of light and sunshine to each day for me.
