I am prone to getting large pores and acne. And I am about to turn 58 next month. Most people seem to be surprised about my age and some of them ask me what I do to take care of my skin. When I tell them, they freak out. I have tried all kinds of facial products, including tiny little bottles that cost $100. They all work great for a few days and then my face gets used to them. Before long it starts feeling dry and wrinkled again and all that money was wasted. The only thing that never fails to work for me is coating my face with Vasoline twice a day. I leave it on for a few minutes and then wash it off with a warm wet washrag. I do this after a shower and before bedtime. But please note that if you have any demodex mites on your face, you will get plenty of white heads from doing this because it kills the mites. I used ZZ cream by demodex solutions for about six months to get rid of the face mites when I became aware they were the cause of my skin problems. Then I switched to Vasoline to keep them from coming back once they were gone because I heard that it was a good preventive. I looked like I had been in a motorcycle wreck and my face hit the pavement for the first six weeks as the ZZ gets the mites burrowed under the skin in the deep layers. Vasoline doesn't peel the the top layers of skin off. It just works on the surface. I kept after the stragglers for a few months to make sure I got them all. My face use to be terribly dry even thought I put lotion on several times per day. My skin absolutely LOVES Vasoline. It prevents the mites from coming back. ** The best way to keep from getting wrinkles around your lips is to stop kissing rough whiskers.
