So my x kept on telling me about this fabulous book he read by some famous doctor called "Eat Drink and Be Happy" or something, whose premise was that you should eat whatever you want, because then you are happy and happiness will help you live longer or something. But my argument was that your belief systems about your food can only carry you SO far, you could be dying, but feel happy that you get ice cream every day. If your belief system was that fruit and nuts were yummy and good for you, you'd have the nutritional benefits as well as happiness going for you, and then you would have a two pronged approach to wellness. Why is it that most of us feel so good while juice fasting? You might feel good for a half an hour after eating some junk food, but you ultimately crash. I hope that made sense.
