Searching the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS)

VAERS data is available to the public. This video demonstrates how to use the VAERS search tool. In searching the data, you will learn about symptoms, illnesses, and adverse events that have been reported after vaccination. You will also learn about the purpose of VAERS, as well as strengths and weaknesses of this vaccine safety surveillance system.

Please Note:  The Serious/Non Serious Category is not accurate.  For example, an HPV vaccine reaction was listed as non-serious but the male patient had a seizure and temporarily stopped breathing.  Always list both categories.
