Special use of garlic

As an engineer, I am used to researching and fixing problems. Below I have summarized several years of research and effort I undertook to cure myself of a persistent staph infection I endured for years. Doctors just couldn't help me and it was getting way too expensive.

Garlic can be used very effectively against skin (or even bone) staph infections. So effective that it earned the name "poor man's penicillin". I used it on a serious infection that would not respond to Antibiotics and which was threatening my limb. It is very powerful if used correctly and in my personal opinion can be more potent than prescription Antibiotics . An alive clove WITH A GREEN SPROUT MUST BE USED. A dormant or dead clove will not work for this.

Smashing the clove and exposing it to air for a few seconds will activate enzymes which produces a powerful but delicate Antibiotic that apparently has a half life of around 15 minutes. Take the clove and apply to the affected area for a time between 5-15 minutes. On your first application, test for a short time and work up the time because sometimes it can cause blistering on sensitive skin.

Simply applying the garlic is not enough, the skin must be saturated with it and the mashed garlic pressed against the skin for at least 5 minutes or more. During this time you may notice that the garlic will cause the wound to weep. Sometime this can be quite shocking depending on the severity of the infection, since a considerable amount of fluid can be drawn from the infection site. By this action, the garlic is also cleansing the wound.

Because infections often depend on the body's inflammation response to propagate, application of an anti-inflammatory on the skin immediately after garlic treatment is highly recommended. The garlic may have killed 99% of the bacteria, but if the inflammation is not quickly controlled, the infection will very quickly repopulate the wound. I have had good luck with the zinc/fish oil based diaper rash creams, hydrocortisone and antihistimine creams (weaker effect). Although I haven't tried it, one person online synthesized copper aspirinate with amazingly good effect as a combination antimicrobial anti-inflammatory and also felt that green tea and pure caffeine applied to the site (anti-oxidant / constricts blood vessels) worked well. Remember to have an "arsenal" of different anti-inflammatories and rotate between them every day because your body can quickly become sensitive to any particular one and it can go from anti-inflammatory to irritating and outright inflammatory.

This procedure can stop the "four alarm" emergencies but additional follow up treatment is necessary to make sure the infection does not randomly recur. Staph is very tiny and can hide dormant under your skin in small quantities until conditions are right for reinfection. Staph is sensitive to a very narrow band of 400nm light (blue). Persistent exposure to this light causes the bacteria to cease activity. Purchase several months of time at a tanning salon and work up a tan until you can tolerate 15 minutes of exposure 2 times a week or more. This repeated treatment will inactivate (but not kill) the staph and allow it to be shed as your skin grows. Because the skin shedding process is very slow, the treatment period must be long (6 months or longer). However, this has given me my life back. I no longer constantly tend to recurring staph infections that itch and ooze. Hope this helps and feel free to email questions. Good luck! :-)
