Mentioning the internet not a good idea ive been there.
I did not succed to convince my GP about parasites bacterial and so on...neither the infectionist so i had to tell them that years ago i was tested and diagnosed elsewhere on a trip abroad for parasites and bacteria because of the symptons i ve had. I also told them the name of the test. Luckly i did not have to prove it. That was the turning point after many discussions in which i did not convince them to at least test me. No surprise the test showed candida overgrowth protozoa and one type of parasite. Lately found out about bacterial overgrowth also and the second parasite infections. My GP still doesn't want to accept that regardless of test results. That told me a lot about being open and willing to help me...
Classical stool tests like NHS never shown something...if I would have money I would try an US one like Metametrix or similar...
