While I agree with you that synthetic hormone replacement is evil... I don't agree about the bio-identical hormone replacement. I guess I'm taking the approach that since I screwed up my body with synthetic (birth control) hormones for so many years... I could at least try to get myself back on track with bio-identical hormones.
I've been detoxing for probably 3 years and I have not been able to achieve hormone balance. I'm still estrogen dominant... So I finally decided to try bio-identical progesterone cream about a year ago. For some women the symptoms of hormone imbalance is too severe not to attempt to adjust/correct the imbalance.
Another thing worth looking into is Maca - which is also supposed to help rebalance hormones (and increase libido in both men and women).
