Re: My bi-yearly check in
leredo7!im glad youre around ,and doing well!awesome! i have seen/researched many of your posts, particularly concerning histamine. oh good ol' histamine. the reason for all of my troubles ; from constant surging adrenaline/brain fog , to
Depression anxiety/low dopamine&serotonin.
at first i had a tough time diagnosing myself high/low histamine. partly due to not flushing w/niacin; which can happen if you are low in zinc... my symptoms are clear tho, flushed skin next to nose, super itchy episodes when stressed or hot, hot skin, hot flashes, feel horrible on high protein diet despite having low BS, etc.
more importantly though, i have found a big reason to why my histamine is constantly high. - low Vit.D !
My Vit.D level is an awesome 11.! low Vit.D causes an over-active immune system. i feel my immune system is constantly thinking it has to fight off whatever comes in the body - histamine is a main defense of the immune system. this is really scary to me, because, is this not a sign that an auto-immune disease is not far away!?
so yea, now, my regimen is ALOT of vit D/cofactors and l-methionine/TMG. ill also be taking OKG pretty soon, which produces arginine(competes with and lowers histamine); okg is also an "ammonia scavenger"so if any of my brainfog is candida induced, okg gon' scavenge/kill/and save the day!haha
im pretty damn new to this histamine stuff, but ive researched extensively in the past month. i feel like the histamine connection to AF is really underrated - if i can say that, being so new to "the histamine connection".
low cortisol allows for high histamines, because cortisol is histamines #1 counter.adrenaline is histamine's #2 counter,so all of my dopamine is being converted to adrenaline! also, serotonin and histmamine counter each other in the brain = high histamine-low serotonin.
so all of the above is what ive learned about histamine, and youve helped; thanks for your posts on the subject! i have your post bookmarked about the histamine/copper connection. ill be testing serum copper/ceroluplasm and calculating how much "free copper" is messing with me and my organs..
hopefully this post and your posts help some people;although i know its tough to wrap one's head around another dimension to their illness.. it could be histamine tho!
goodluck people!
