I recently asked Jesus to show me more of his love. When I saw your original post, I believe my prayer was answered. I could have been the first reply in this thread, but I put it off until now. Can't explain why. Believe it or not, I actually expected to be the first reply in this thread.

It's amazing to see the controversy expressed here. The article Vektek posted explained things well enough. Jesus is the only human to ever keep all of the law. Shellfish are unclean, and Jesus never touched the unclean thing. It's really that simple. All that is needed is to accept God's word by faith. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." John Ch1. vs. 1-5.
