Re: question regarding recovery from tapeworm
I don't know. I don't know if that is exactly going to work honestly. It's such a low dose of albendazole. From my understanding albendazole works primarily by blocking one of the enzymes that the
parasites uses for energy. So, it won't just happen overnight, or in 2 days. Primarily from what I understand it takes longer, or it should take longer.
The second thing is if it is a
Tapeworm in fact, you should be taking praziquantel.. aka biltricide, cesol(mexico). The drug has a extremely long track record with minimal side effects. It's very safe.
The dose I was prescribed was 600mg x 3 times/day. Then once the full moon hit to do the three day series again. Or time it to hit in the middle. Then take a break for 2-3 weeks and take another round. I don't know how many rounds in total, but it wouldn't hurt doing this for a couple of months in my opinion.
Also, there are other
parasites that praziquantel treats as well. It's a great one to start with for sure. I personally don't like albendazole because it does have some serious side effects with suppressing white blood cell production. Praziquantel is a perfect drug to start with and is the right drug for tapeworms. Your doctor should have known that.
