Re: Kefir

I'm like you Onwards, my body seems to crave dairy and fat...and i'm a slow oxidizer?...i do have a bit of issues with digesting the fat at times, but that's only due to low stomach acid, which goes away completely when my stomach is working fine (which it does at times). I feel a sense of energy and calmness when i have fat in my diet. Lean meat without the fat does nothing for me. I find the kefir particularly useful in it's protein content or calcium, my nails miraculously start growing and growing strong. But alas due to all my tummy troubles I've temporarily laid off my kefir due to getting thrush from it. But can't wait to go back on it, it's like the best form of protein/calcium I know of. The results are instant. I've read that the milk when turned into kefir takes out most of the casein in the milk and makes the protein and calcium more available to the body.

Not sure i could tolerate the taste of goat kefir though, i tried it and the flavour just never disappeared. Did the flavour of goats milk lessen when you made it into kefir?
