Re: Egaten + Ivermectin
Well it sounds like you have many parasites. I don't know of a more accurate test than the ELISA test. With learning about how the flukes actually don't present an antigen to the t helper cells one could argue if there is a higher chance of missing it. But, like I said, it's the best test that I know of to get a diagnosis. I am trying to learn about the immune system right now and how different
parasites hide within the body. It appears that lysosomal cathepsin L with the fluke can impede the presentation of the antigen to the immune system. So, in this regard I don't know how accurate the ELISA test will be. But, it's the best test that I know of.
I have contemplated using some common immune modulating drugs to help realign the shift in the immmune system that happens when someone has flukes. It all shifts towards the Th2. I can take some drugs that will shift my immune system towards Th1, but I'm still confused as to whether or not this is helpful. Initially I thought, since the flukes purposely do this, then automatically reversing it would be beneficial. It seems that stopping the production of cathepsin L or the lysosomal cathepsin L still would be helpful. I wonder if it's still just raising the pH.
I don't think many of the doctors have studied very much about how the
parasites function. Otherwise they would be more aware at how elusive they can be. I think they were mostly trained on which tests to run possibly.

I don't know what else to say except just keep on trying.. We're all in this together.
