Re: Mirena removed yesterday...my story

I know just how you feel. I had mine in for the full 5 years and just had it removed yesterday. I've been going crazy thinking that I may be dying (seriously). I've had terrible cramps for the past 2 years or more,gained 15-20 lbs, no sex drive, headaches, extreme lower back pain, severe fatigue - even after sleep 8-10 hrs a night, depression, pain shooting up and down my arms & legs, a few months ago my knees hurt so bad I could hardly walk - it felt like I had arthritis!! I'm 31 years old and have been feeling like my life is over, like my body is just deteriorating :(

Immediately after having it removed I felt better!! Within an hr or so my lower back pain was almost gone and the cramps completely disappeared. Last night I slept better than I have in a very, very long time and felt wonderful when I woke up this morning. I'm hoping that the side effects continue to disappear but I'm also scared hearing about some women experiencing the "crash".

Today feels like the beginning of something much better and I hope that it continues. Good luck to you and all us women that were fooled!!
